In the textbook, the student will read actual legal cases and questions that follow each case.
These cases provide tangible application of the laws the student will learn throughout the course.
This allows the student to see how courts have applied the laws to real-world facts and
circumstances. The student will be required to submit answers for the questions that follow some
of these cases (“The Case Questions”). The Case Questions require that the student demonstrate
course-related knowledge and critical analytical skills by applying the law to reach a conclusion
based on the unique facts of each case.

The student should answer the Case Questions by fully analyzing the issue presented and fully
explaining their answer. This means that a “Yes” or “No” answer must be followed by an
explanation.
