I have to write a master′s thesis in APA 7 that relates social mobility with Hofstede′s Long Term Orientation dimension. According to Global Social Mobility Index 2020, among the 82 economies ranked, Japan ranks 15th and Colombia ranks 65th. In the Hofstede cultural dimensions, Japan has a 95 in the Long Term Orientation dimension while Colombia only has a 6. So, is long term orientation something important for a society′s social mobility index rank?
