Address the following points in your reflection:
• Your process of learning about your chosen topic and how your topic evolved over the
course of the semester – what you knew to begin with, how your ideas changed, where
you found the most useful sources, and any setbacks or difficulties researching your topic.
• Your process of revising your writing in each unit – the types of activities or feedback that
helped you most, the types of revision work you found yourself doing, specific things you
changed in each unit, and why you decided to make those changes.

positive habits you developed over the semester, how your writing has changed over the
course of the semester, how your attitude toward writing has changed over the course of
the semester, and any other important lessons you will apply in other classes or
elsewhere.
• Your writing goals going forward as a UA student. use theses sources and examples and intext citationSocial media has become a powerful tool for sharing information and inspiring others, and fitness influencers are a popular category on these platforms. While they can be a great source of inspiration and motivation, it′s important to be cautious about who you follow, which is why I chose to do an Instagram campaign as my remix, so I can help people find an influencer who is right for them and can help them reach their fitness goals naturally and healthy, while also shedding light on the type of influencers they should stay away from. The Instagram campaigns highlight the importance of choosing the right fitness influencers who prioritize safety, body positivity, and sustainability. This remix aims to explore the impact of fitness influencers on the audience and the importance of choosing quality over quantity when it comes to the content we consume on social media.
The intended audience for this remix is young adults interested in fitness and wellness, particularly those who follow fitness influencers on social media. By highlighting the importance of being mindful of who we follow, I encourage individuals to prioritize their safety and well-being over achieving extreme fitness goals, by choosing the right influencer to follow. The purpose of this remix is to highlight the qualities that make a good fitness influencer.
The process of creating this remix involved researching and selecting four fitness influencers to serve as great examples of fitness influencers you should follow and ones you should not. Alo Trainer’s Giorgio Merlino and Roxie Jones represent the influencers who prioritize inclusivity, authenticity, and mental health. The Liver King and Sarah Bowmar epitomize the dangers of influencers who promote extreme and unhealthy behaviors, such as steroid use, unrealistic physique goals, and unhealthy eating habits.
The vocabulary and sentence structure used in this campaign are simple and straightforward. The message is clear and concise, making it easier for the audience to understand the importance of following the right fitness influencers. The use of the images in both Instagram campaigns is to show someone who built muscle naturally and someone who uses steroids and unhealthy exercise techniques. I chose the Liver King, and Giorgio Merlino, as examples in the first post because they contrast two different fitness approaches: one that is authentic and promotes body positivity and sustainability, and one that promotes achieving a ″warrior″ physique and archives it by using steroids. I chose Roxie Jones and Sarah Bowman as examples in the second post to show a fitness approach that promotes self-love and acceptance and helps you overcome fears and insecurities around fitness and one that promotes very restrictive diets, such as low-carb diets and intense workout routines.
The remix highlights the significance of evaluating fitness influencers and their messages. It is essential for individuals to prioritize authenticity, inclusivity, and safety when selecting influencers to follow. If I were to change anything in this remix, I would dive deeper into the societal factors that contribute to the popularity of extreme fitness influencers and explore potential solutions for their negative impact. Additionally, incorporating perspectives from experts in fitness, psychology, and social media ethics could provide valuable insights into this complex phenomenon.Source 1

The pros of social media influencers′ impact on fitness
In recent years, social media influencers have gained significant influence. From Instagram models to YouTube vloggers, these individuals have taken the fitness world by storm, inspiring millions of followers to pursue healthier lifestyles. Despite the debate surrounding the credibility and authenticity of social media influencers, there is no denying the positive impact they have had on promoting physical fitness and overall wellness. This essay will explore the pros of social media influencers′ impact on fitness, highlighting how they have motivated and supported individuals in achieving their health goals.
The rise of social media influencers in the fitness industry has completely transformed how individuals approach their health and wellness goals. These influencers have the ability to reach a vast audience and inspire them to lead a healthier lifestyle through their motivational posts and workout routines. With the help of platforms like Instagram and YouTube, these influencers are able to share their fitness journeys, transformation stories, and expert advice with their followers, creating a sense of community and support for those looking to improve their physical well-being. By showcasing their personal experiences and successes, social media influencers have become powerful role models for individuals looking to embark on their fitness journeys. According to Stefan Lawrence, “Through online social networks, such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, many of these ‘social influencers’ gain a large online following and are able to make an impact on people by using, their popularity, social significance, and cultural impact to help people live a better life” (Lawrence 11). This quote emphasizes how influencers can use their platforms for good and positive things, such as motivating people to workout more, or eat healthier, and also be a positive influence and great role models for their audience.
The influence of social media influencers on fitness trends and practices has been significant in recent years. With their large followings and engaging content, influencers are able to promote different workout routines, diet plans, and health products to their audiences. These influencers often collaborate with fitness brands and create sponsored posts that showcase the benefits of specific products or services. As a result, their followers are more likely to try new workouts, adopt healthier eating habits, and invest in fitness-related products. This direct impact on consumer behavior has led to a shift in the fitness industry, with more people turning to social media influencers for guidance and inspiration on their fitness journeys. Zhang states that “Social media provides useful and interesting health information, which reinforces the perceived value of fitness and thus enhances people’s fitness intention. By viewing exercise reports and fitness posts from friends on social media, individuals will be more motivated to change their exercise behavior” (Zhang 1). This demonstrates how just viewing someone′s post about fitness on social media led to a positive change in the way people look for inspiration and guidance on fitness and shows how many people are turning to influencers for motivation to get healthy. It also shows how easily motivated and inspired someone can be just by viewing a fitness post.
Building a supportive community is essential for individuals looking to improve their fitness levels. Social media influencers play a crucial role in creating this community by providing motivation, encouragement, and valuable tips for their followers. By sharing their fitness journeys and triumphs, influencers can inspire others to set goals and embark on their own health and wellness journeys. Additionally, these influencers often engage with their followers by responding to comments, hosting live workouts, and creating online challenges, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among their audience. This sense of community can be a powerful motivator for individuals striving to reach their fitness goals, as it provides a support system and accountability that can make all the difference in achieving success. An article written by Core Health & Fitness states that “ According to a study conducted by IHRSA, 44% of members in a gym admit to working out more when with a partner. Working out as a part of a community helps to keep the people within it motivated(Health & Fitness 1). This shows that the sense of community influencers provide is very helpful, since it motivates people, and it provides people with someone to hold them accountable for achieving their fitness goals. Even though influencers can have a positive impact, they can also have a negative effect on the way women see themselves.
While social media influencers in the fitness industry may seem like beacons of inspiration, their influence can often lead to unrealistic expectations, misinformation, and even harm to their followers′ physical and mental health. Regan Olsson stated that “Social media is flooded with images of flawless bodies and seemingly effortless workouts, creating an unattainable ideal”( Olsson 1). This emphasizes how the unrealistic expectations, and sometimes edited pictures that women come across on social media can make them feel inadequate, and make them feel like they are not pretty enough. Even though some influencers may post unrealistic, and edited photos, some can give people valuable information and educate them with things that can help them personally with their fitness goals.
One of the key benefits of social media influencers in the fitness industry is their role in educating and sharing expertise with their followers. Many influencers have backgrounds in nutrition, personal training, or other related fields, allowing them to provide valuable information and guidance on topics such as exercise techniques, meal planning, and overall wellness. Through platforms like Instagram and YouTube, these influencers are able to reach a wide audience and inspire others to lead healthier lifestyles. By sharing their knowledge and experiences, they can not only motivate individuals to make positive changes but also debunk common myths and misconceptions surrounding fitness and nutrition. Overall, their educational content and expertise sharing contribute to the ongoing conversation about health and wellness in today′s digital age. Felecia D′souza States that social media “can provide a wealth of opportunities for individuals that seek out mentors with particular expertise”( D’souza 1). This expresses how influencers are able to use their background to help people gain knowledge about fitness and nutrition and give them advice, to help them stay healthy and eat right.
The impact of social media influencers on fitness cannot be denied. From promoting physical health and nutrition to motivating individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles, influencers play a significant role in shaping societal norms and behaviors by, serving as role models for their followers. By showcasing their own fitness journeys, achievements, and healthy habits, they inspire others to adopt similar behaviors. Despite criticisms of promoting unrealistic bodies, it is clear that the positive effects of social media influencers, such as how they educate people, and give people motivation to live a healthy lifestyle, outweigh the negatives, such as some influencers posting “seemingly effortless workouts, creating an unattainable ideal”( Olsson 1). As technology continues to evolve and our reliance on social media platforms grows, influencers will continue to hold a powerful influence over the way we perceive and engage with fitness, due to them using live streaming services such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and interactive challenges to connect with followers and promote fitness-related content. It is important for both influencers and their followers to approach this influence with caution and mindfulness, ensuring that health and wellness remain the primary focus.
