Topic is dealing with a topic of ethical or legal importance in behavioral healthcare.(3-5 minute) video or narrated Powerpoint presentation on the topic. The presentation may be a video of
the student doing the presentation, an original narrated movie, or a narrated Powerpoint/Prezi
presentation. The object is to produce a multimedia (visual and audio) product that presents your issue,
your position and provides pertinent information to persuade your viewers. Think of it as testifying before
a formal body (such as a legislative subcommittee or judicial body), but using modern technology to get
your views across. The presentation will require at least the ability for you to record audio (and
video if you plan on recording yourself).
Your multimedia presentation should be 3 to 5 minutes long. As noted, the presentation can be a
video of you presenting the topic (Powerpoint/Prezi is optional), a narrated Powerpoint or Prezi
presentation, or another multimedia movie that you create using other platforms (just make sure you
submit it in one of 3 common formats: MP4, WMV, or MOV – if the instructor can’t view the video, it
can’t be graded).
If you choose to do a narrated slide show, there is much help online for creating a narrated presentation
(just use google). Here are a few of resources to get started:
Adding narration to Powerpoint: https://support.office.com/en-US/article/Add-narration-to-a-
presentation-0b9502c6-5f6c-40ae-b1e7-e47d8741161c;
Embedding narration for Powerpoint slides: ;
Adding sound to Prezi’s: https://support.prezi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038281894-Adding-
narration-to-your-presentation-using-Prezi-Video-
You will ultimately want to save your Presentation into a movie format. A video for doing that in
Powerpoint is here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Turn-your-presentation-into-a-video-
c140551f-cb37-4818-b5d4-3e30815c3e83. Prezi has similar approaches. If you use a platform that is
different from Powerpoint or Prezi (or make a video of you presenting your topic), please save the final
presentation movie into one of these three common formats: MP4, WMV, or MOV. Then submit the
movie via Canvas.
Most importantly, be creative and have fun creating your multimedia presentation!
