We all know what happens to Alexander Hamilton in the end. Instead, you want to focus on the musical itself and how it captures the history of a very complicated individual. As a history class, some effort should be spent on discussing the historical treatment of Hamilton and his life, especially his economic and political legacy. And, since you are writing a review of one of the most successful musicals of all time, you will need to include your own thoughts about the musical: did you like it, what did you think of the music, choreography, casting, and anything else related to the production.
OPTION 2: Hamilton the DocumentaryFor those that don’t have access to the musical, you can watch the documentary on Hamilton from the History Channel. The video can be watched in full below. For this option, your focus should be on economics and politics. You want to detail Hamilton’s interest in economics and the Constitution, specifically his impact on the Constitutional Convention and the economy during his time as Secretary of the Treasury. LINK:
