You may choose any of the following questions for your reflection paper:
How did China come to play a dominant role in the development of East Asia? What were the social, cultural, and political consequences of the unification of China under the strong centralized governments of the Qin and Han empires? What elements of Chinese culture were adopted by Koreans, Vietnamese, and Japanese, and how did they adapt them to their own circumstances? Use chapters 7/8 in the text and primary source reader to answer this question. (2-3 paragraphs)
