Two pages please. Overview and introduction of the poet-thinker, AC:
Then, I want you to go to the PDF of the essay itself and just begin reading it: (Pages 31-78). There is no need to read the Introduction of it by Robin DG Kelley, unless you want to. After reading it, or even while reading it, you can review the study questions I uploaded to the same File. These are not meant to be answered and are not an assignment to be collected. I wrote them as a study guide to the essay. Once you have read Discourse on Colonialism, (even if you could not get through it all) as it is a hard reading usually assigned in grad school, hear about how others have “read” his work. I am offering you two videos from two very different scholars who break down the main components, arguments, and significant contributions of Discourse. Another option (though it is more work) is to go back to the Introduction by DG Kelley and read his “reading”, to find out the most important arguments DG Kelley finds in Discourse.
