Small N studies such as the case study were the predominant paradigm in psychology and medicine until the beginning of the twentieth century. The first published studies of psychological therapy were the cases studies of Sigmund Freud.
Case study methodologies stress a natural process which is characterized by several basic assumptions: (1) Though data is gathered inductively, the case study approach to research is inductive in that it constructs a theory by logically fitting together pieces of behavior; (2) The case study approach stresses the totality of an individual; (3) The case study approach stresses construct validity by logically joining theoretical elements; and (5) The case study approach recognizes the uniqueness of the individual or group.

Intervention – design an intervention plan that includes a contract, techniques, process of therapy, and goals of intervention using the theory you selected for section two.
