What is his background in business, politics, and foreign affairs and in what ways was he an important architect of American foreign policy during the 20th century? Then, identify and describe 3 of what you think are McNamara’s most important “lessons” about war. Why are they still important and relevant today in recent conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan or possible future military conflicts? Conclude with any personal reaction to the documentary.
