There are two possibilities for this. Please choose ONE option. I would prefer you choose the second option however wanted to include the first option if you thought that would be significantly easier.
You may either write a personal reflection in the modes used by Jamison in The Empathy Exams. You may choose between the frameworks she adopts in either chapter 1 or chapter 2.
a) If you choose chapter 1, for example, use the format of the medical case histories that
she uses, writing about yourself in the third person, and including the headings of: Case
Summary, Medication History, Medical History, Physical Presentation and Tone, and
Encounter Dynamics (not all are required).
b. If you choose chapter 2, write about a personal experience using the framework of a scientific study, including headings like: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Acknowledgments.
OPTION 2
Write a hypothetical letter to the protagonist of Memoirs of a Woman Doctor or the protagonist of The Yellow Wallpaper to update her on the status of gender relations as they stand today.
