The first 3 pages need to be an outline of the research paper in a separate word document. Attached is the outline template that needs to be followed.
The following 8 pages need to be a research paper in a separate word document. The paper needs to be on Native American boarding schools and argue that they were a form of cultural genocide created by the United States government in an attempt to assimilate Native children into white society. The paper needs to have a strong thesis statement and overall argument. Attached are 6 secondary sources (articles) and research notes that have been taken on them that need to be used in the paper. There is also a 7th secondary source (book) that notes were taken on that needs to be used in the paper. There needs to be 4 primary sources used in the paper. That will be up to the writer to choose primary sources that will best fit their argument. If the writer uses before and after photographs of students at boarding schools both need to be cited but consider them as one primary source. The paper needs to have Chicago style footnotes and a bibliography.
