Your task is to prepare a SDAIE lesson for your area of specialty, i.e., Social Studies, Science, English, Math, Physical Education, or a specific elective class such as music or computers. It should be designed for English Learners at the Expanding (formerly called Intermediate) level of language acquisition. Your lesson must include at least two SDAIE strategies described in CTEL, Chapter 5. The lesson must focus on teaching content, and either reading, writing, speaking or listening in English. You must cite the California content and ELD standards that will be addressed in your lesson. These standards can be found at the California Department of Education website at http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/. Because your lesson must address Common Core or Content and ELD standards, you must include Common Core/Content and ELD objectives and/or goals for the lesson.
