• At least 50 data items grouped into classes [5]
• The range of the data (not including outliers) must be at least 15, so it can be grouped in to 5 classes. Best if the bulk of the data falls into either the middle or the third class. Discuss outliers. [5] • Null Hypothesis: Along the research hypothesis, write a null hypothesis along with the level of testing that you will be using. Propose an alternate hypothesis [8]
• Organize data in a frequency distribution. Find relative frequency. Show data, tally, class width. [8] • Find measure(s) of central tendency. Calculate the mean using only grouped data x x f x = ∑ ( ) [7] • Calculate the quartiles: Q1, Q2 (median) and Q3 using ungrouped data [5]

• The report must be neatly written in correct English, no slang, and in the third person. [3]
This report need not be very long. Often it is just two pages. That is your choice. It may be handwritten in pencil if your handwriting is clear and neat. Reports that are messy, sloppy or in bad English will lose points (- 10 pts). Facts must be consistent (- 5 pts). All numbers must be clearly labeled and supported with formulas. “Bald numbers” will lose points.(- 5 pts). Late reports – 10 pts per class day.
You can start working on your idea. Make up a questionnaire to collect the data….even start collecting the data and do the descriiptive statistics from what we have learned.
Some ideas for types of topics:

• Sample topics: how many eggs or bowls of cereal are eaten each week; how many minutes to travel to chesed job; how many minutes to prepare for school; how many minutes to from waking up to the first class, how long it takes to put on make-up.
