This assignment is a direct continuation of the Research Essay Annotated Bibliography. Please use the topic you used for that assignment. Now that you have outlined your thoughts, identified a problem, and thought of a solution, and found five sources to support your solution, draft an outline, then turn that outline into an essay by crafting sentences that lead from one topic to the next. Think of this as a rough draft. However, note that I am calling this an “early draft.” That means that this paper needs to be more polished than a first draft. The word count for this assignment is 700 words. If you go over, that is okay. Make sure that you include your in-text citations from your sources. Make sure your MLA formatting is perfect Make sure your paper has an introduction, at least three topic statements, and a conclusion. Your paper must have in-text citations and a works cited page. Make sure your works cited page does not have your annotations in them. You do not need your annotations anymore. Before submitting your paper, correct any: First person Second person Sentence fragments Comma splices Passive voice Refer to anyone you cite in your paper either by their full name or their last name. Do not refer to them by their first name.
