The objective of the research paper is to provide a well-supported argument answering either one
of the sample prompts below. The paper must adhere to MLA style guidelines. Accordingly, permissible sources must meet standards of scholarly quality (academic book publications, articles from a peer-reviewed journal, primary source
documentation, etc.). In addition to your textbook, you must cite at least one additional academic source or primary source. As a general rule, it’s good practice to have at lease one additional
academic source per page of a length of research paper (i.e. 5-6 sources for a paper 5-6 pages in length)
