The first topic for my final paper will be a theoretical explanation. I will be doing

Durkheim’s anomie and a practical application to the rapid social change caused by the COVID-

19 pandemic that occurred in the beginning of 2020. I will approach it by explaining the theory

at first, then stating the problems the theory has and lastly relating it to how it affected society
<
when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. This topic matches my interest and I can relate to it because I
<
experienced it first hand. It does relate to the topics covered in this course and this topic is
<
focused enough. I can complete this task in the time allotted.
