Temporary vs. Permanent Employee Debate
There is much debate in the literature and in industry regarding the use of temporary employees in the workforce. One side argues that the use of temporary employees yields many benefits for an organization and the other side argues that the use of temporary employees hurts an organization and that only permanent staff should be hired. Pick a side and discuss why you believe temporary employees are beneficial or detrimental to an organization. Explain all of the benefits they bring or all of the problems that arise when an organization utilizes this staffing approach. You should consult some of the research regarding the impact of using temporary employees in organizations. There is plenty of literature out there supporting both sides of the debate. Try to use peer-reviewed journal articles for support. Cite all of the references that you use in APA format in-text and on a reference page. This assignment should be double spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins.
