So far this semester, you have written essays about various issues having to do with nature. We’ve gone on nature walks, read parts of John Green’s book, The Anthropocene Reviewed and several chapters of Walden by Henry David Thoreau, as well as created a Class Nature Guide to Oakland Lake. Now I’m going to ask you to expand your thinking about this topic by conducting some independent research of your own.

For this assignment, instead of writing a traditional research paper, you will go through the process of:

1. Developing a research question.
2. Using the library databases to find scholarly sources related to your topic.
