Research an Officer Involved Shooting which occurred in the city of Anaheim that involved a Fullerton Police Officer who was driving on the 91 Freeway with his K-9 partner. The incident occurred on July 5, 2019. Students should review the official video that the Fullerton PD(19-40536) produced which can be found on YouTube. Students will also need to explore the website of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office that conducted a criminal investigation of the incident and published their findings. Go to www.orangecountyda.org and click on the REPORTS tab, then click on Officer Involved Shootings and Custodial Death Letters, down the list you will find one with the subject being Minor Jane Doe. Describe the incident that occurred in the YouTube video. Describe the involvement of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and their findings. View the full letter “OCDA Report Officer-Involved Shooting – Minor Jane Doe ”. Describe what types of evidence were used in the District Attorney’s findings. Your final paragraph will be for you to express your opinion of the incident, the officer’s actions and the results from the District Attorney’s investigation.
