Reference a video-sharing website (i.e. youtube, bluetube, policeone etc), a media news source with video showing the actions of a law enforcement officer in a traffic-stop related incident.
Complete a 2-3 page paper that discusses the actions of the law enforcement officer in the incident.
The introduction of the written assignment should include a short synopsis of the event and also the website where it can be found. Then, using critical thinking skills, common sense, and the tactics you have learned from your Skills Program up to this point, focus on and discuss how the situation could have been handled better and/or outline what the officer did correctly. This portion should encompass a majority of the written work.
Along with the above requirements, the paper should also include (no more than one paragraph for each):
A conclusion that lists or outlines the Minnesota State Statutes that the subject of the video could be charged with stemming from the incident.
Include all crimes that apply and the proper titles of the statutes along with the statute number.Cite your source for the statutes.
Make sure to employ APA formatting within your paper.
