Overview of the Project
Chances are that you have had to work in a group on a specific project. That group project probably took place in class when you had time to work on it. However, what if your teacher did not allow you to work on the project during class? This could make things very difficult, especially if everyone has different schedules, such as watching siblings, working part-time, band practice, or sports practice. The list could go on and on. The question is, how are you going to all work together on the same project at different times?
Think back to the lesson you just completed on Collaboration and Productivity. The lesson mentioned two closed source software, Google Docs and Microsoft Office, that people are currently using to work on large group projects even when the team has different schedules. With that information in mind, you are going to answer some questions about the best productivity software to meet your group’s needs.
This assignment is worth 35% of your unit grade.

Things you may need to consider when choosing your productivity software:
Workers on the team have different schedules and will need to be able to work on the document when others are not available.
The entire team will need the ability to see who made changes to the document.
Collaboration is key. The ability to make comments on the document is crucial.
