Chapter 1 in the Organizational Behavior textbook explains the importance of gaining tools and skill sets to increase your value to organizations. The chapter further explains the three levels of analysis in OB (Figure 1.3 on Page 15 in the textbook), where the individual, group, and organization are examined to assess how effective and efficient the system is operating to meet the mission, vision, and strategic goals.
For the first section of the OB Paper, you will be focusing on the first level of analysis, the individual. Below, you will find specific questions that align with the readings done so far in class. Use the questions and chapter readings to develop a paper that reflects who you are as an individual seeking to enter or advance in your career.
This research paper is designed to challenge your thinking with respect who to you are as an individual, the career you hope to achieve, and the underlying organizational behavior (OB) principles that are driving your behavior.
