Purpose: Quality Improvement is a key activity in healthcare organizations to improve outcomes of patient care. A common method agencies use is the Model for Improvement. Nursing students should be familiar with the MFI concepts to participate in quality improvement activities as nurses. For last half of the term, students will work in groups to develop a nursing unit improvement project using the Model for Improvement principles.
Instructions: Literature Review: Solution/Intervention
During the week, groups will: Write a summary for each two articles you selected from the literature (PROFESSIONAL PEER REVIEWED NURSING JOURNALS). Articles must not be from before 2016 unless you have instructor approval. For each article provide a summary (minimum 250-word count for each article) and discusses how the article is pertinent and relevant to the solution or interventions (10 pts./each article).
PROJECT NOTES: Remember, your QI Project Paper, must be in APA 7th ed. which includes Times New Roman font, double spacing, citations and a title and reference page.Also, do not write your paper in first person voice and use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Please review the rubric each week so you do not lose points for APA and paper mechanics.
