Assignment Objectives: This assignment is a narrated PowerPoint presentation based on an obstetrical topic of the student’s choice. Subject matter for the presentation may range from nursing care during a triage encounter, labor, postpartum, or newborn care. The subject may involve routine procedures, routine care, or complications of pregnancy, and or delivery.
Instructions: A minimum of three peer-reviewed articles must be incorporated into the presentation to either support the standard of care, or to support alternative care options that could have been considered as a part of the patient’s care. A minimum of one patient care plan must be devised and discussed within the design of the presentation. The presentation must be a minimum of 7-10 slides (excluding title slide and reference slide).
