Now that you have you have found the Porfolio tool within the classroom. What will you include on the Profile tab. The Portfolio tab will be where you post your artifacts and signature assignment. The artifacts/assignment should be tagged for one or more skills. Also, employers will not want to read a long assignment. You need to post a short blog, a short PowerPoint or a short personal video for each artifact/assignment that provides a synopsis of the assignment and explains how the artifact/assignment supports the skill. What do you think you will do for each artifact/assignment? Why?

Hello class and Professor,
The e-portfolio necessitates a variety of artifacts that effectively demonstrate an individual’s experience and/or knowledge across several domains. Due to this rationale, the selection among a concise blog, a succinct PowerPoint presentation, or a brief personal video will differ for each of my artifacts. Each of these choices is believed to be suitable for specific objects. For instance, if there were an item to be incorporated into my own brand, it could necessitate the creation of a concise personal film. The inclusion of a video showcasing myself can be deemed significant as it adds a personal touch and effectively communicates the intended message associated with the artifact in question. By providing individuals with a visual representation of myself, the desired objective can be accomplished.

The process of choosing which artifacts to include in you e-portfolio needs to be done with careful consideration of what it is that you want to present to a potential employer. Since the areas of Human Resources that I am most interested in are recruiting, employee engagement, and leadership development I am making sure to choose items that reflect my knowledge of these topics. Many of the artifacts are lengthy and since I don’t expect a potential employer to have the time to read an 8–10-page paper I will utilize writing a brief summary of each artifact to highlight the relevant points and give the reader a quick overview of what the artifact is indeed all about, similar to what an abstract does for a research paper. My hope is that it will be enough information to still showcase my knowledge of the subject but may also captivate them enough that they want to read the entire artifact. I think that it is important that we are respectful of the employers time but still want to make sure we are essentially selling ourselves and our abilities with the portfolio.
