Choose one character in Middlemarch and draw a map or chart (the format and style are up to you) showing the connections between that character and at least 20 other characters. Those connections do not have to be direct (think: Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon) ), and the characters used can be alive or dead at this point in the story, but must be named and referred to specifically in the text (for instance, “Dorothea’s Dad” is not really given much if any attention even in passing, so he’s not a great choice to include).
