Case Study A case study is “a process or record of research in which detailed consideration is given to the development of a particular person, group, or situation over a period of time.” Each student will sign up for a topic to research a particular case. The topics will be provided by me and you are then free to choose a case you would like to study in depth. To complete this assignment, you must do outside of course research. Once your research is complete, you must write a report of your findings. You are free to select a specific case within each of the topics. For example, if you are presenting on democracy, you can choose to study democracy cases outside the United States, or compare the US experience with another country’s.
