Assignment Description:
Assessment and Treatment Plan: Couple, Family, and Sex Therapy
Student Directions:
1. Students are to view the assigned movie (Hope Springs, 2012) that includes couple, family, and sex therapy issues.
2. The students are to provide a thorough assessment of all of the couple, family, and sex therapy issues in the movie. The assessment should identify family, couple, and sex therapy counseling theories, models, and concepts.
3. The students are to provide a treatment plan for the characters identified with couple, family, and sex therapy issues, including specific couple, family, and sex therapy goals and objectives, with treatment interventions.
4. Treatment interventions should foster wellness and account for life stressors such as mental health concerns, crisis, trauma, addictive behaviors, interpersonal violence, and/or changes in socioeconomic status.
5. For each couple, family, or sex therapy treatment plan intervention, students will also identify the counseling theory related to each intervention.
6. The assessment and treatment plan will meet the criteria in the Assessment and Treatment Plan Rubric.
