1. Report the results of the t-test scientifically and in APA style. (Hint: posting a table or figure is not a substitute for reporting the results.) Then, explain what the results are showing with regard to your hypothesis from Unit 2.
2. Look at the theoretical formula for the t-test. It is basically a big fraction – a ratio between the difference between means and the average variability among the scores.
3. Explain to a fellow student how one or two extreme “statistical outliers” (scores that are very, very different from the others) could change the value of the t-test, even when the two means being compared are exactly the same.
