A fortune 500 telecommunication company hires a office full of wireless managers to lead a wireline and internet billing and order department an none of the managers know the methods and procedures of the new department.
The company then began to route the sales calls outside of its native state and allow out of region employees to sell to the customers, adding products and services that their customer never ordered, and force the native state to receive all of the irate customers and complaints.
The new managers do nothing and take on a phase of “just ride the waive”, all while the native state feels that they are now working in a hostile environment.
Some of the more seasoned agents speak out of concern at the many changes and uncertainties; one of which becomes a target for the new leadership and has been investigated up to and leading to dismissal because she’s been with the company for over 30yrs and new management is not happy with her knowledge of what should be happening.
The managers ultimately suspends the agent after many investigatory meetings from allegations of misconduct that didn’t exist, because she received a call from a customer who was extremely upset that previous representatives had not done what she had promised, the customer took most of the blame out on the agent initially requesting that his account be closed but the agent was able to save the sale.
The call lasted one hour and 35 mins no hold time. Prior to the suspension the agent had requested to be removed from the managers team but was denied by another temporary manager . I would like the paperwork written as a grievance describing a hostile work environment of a manager that leads by intimidation. The immediate manager has not coached or developed in 3yrs which os the amount of time he was hired and the employee job title changes temporarily which is where the new manager comes in and began to enforce disciplinary actions on a seasoned and dedicated employee
