This assignment is a research project where the Critical Incident Technique (CIT) will be used to determine how people are experiencing compensation and benefits at work. The assignment has two parts.

IMPORTANT !!!!!!!! Please read professor notes on how to complete this assignment!!- (It is attached)

Part 1: CIT Interviews
The interviews should be used to explore the question of whether or not employees have experienced that their organization’s compensation and benefits plans improve their overall well-being at work.
In preparing for and completing the CIT interviews follow the steps of the CIT process outlined in Butterfield et al. (2005) article.
Note: American Psychological Association (APA) ethical guidelines indicate that interviewees have the right to refuse to answer any question posed to them by an interviewer. Please ensure that your interviewees are aware of this, and do not force them to answer where the opportunity to reply has been refused.

Consider what you expect your findings will be from the interviews and write a hypothetical statement.
Using the CIT research methodology, prepare a list of 10 open-ended questions regarding an individual’s direct personal experience with the compensation and benefits in their workplace.
Identify a subgroup of people in your immediate circle of contact with whom you have the ability to conduct a CIT interview regarding their experience with compensation and benefits in their workplace. This sub-group should have some demographics in common since it will be easier to detect patterns in your research data if the subgroup is, for example, made up of: accountants, managers, individuals who work for the same company or in the same industry, they are all Gen Y, women, men, university graduates, etc.
Conduct a minimum of three interviews with people from your subgroup. If you are unable to meet with your interviewee in person you may choose to use Skype, Google Hangout, Microsoft Teams or call your interviewees. However, you may not send them the questions and ask them to fill them out, as this takes you out of the process and one of the points of this assignment is for you to gain experience in talking with people, and learning how to interview people.
As the interviewer, pose the 10 interview questions to the three respondents. Take written notes in question-and-answer format; this is your research data. You might also want to record the interview, with your interviewee’s consent.
Part 2: Summary Report
Write a summary report (750-1,000 words) about the information collected during the interview process, drawing connections between what the people in the subgroup were reporting about their experiences with compensation and benefits in their workplace. (Appendices are not part of your 750-1000 word count and come after the reference list.)
The report should include a discussion of the participants’ descriptions of the meaning of the incidents described during the interview process; are organizations providing compensation and benefits that improve the well-being of the employee(s) at work. Does the data collected support your hypothetical or not?
Explain whether the data from the interviews match any current literature on the subject of compensation and benefits. Use a minimum of four scholarly resources for evidentiary support.
The summary report should also include the raw data collected (one appendix ) for each interview in question-and-answer format.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide and Template, located in the Student Success Center.
