Answering the following questions below will help you narrow down and define your variables.
You should use this sheet to help you in your presentation.
It will help with multiple sections including:
The Title: The title of your experiment and your name.
The Background:
“I notice that…” What was the source of inspiration for your experiment idea? What was the informal observation or practical problem or previous research article that your idea was inspired by?
Question: What is the research question? What question will your experiment address?
The Hypothesis:
“I think that…” What do you think the results will be?
The Experiment Design:
Note that you will choose two independent variables for your experiment, and at least one of the IVs must be manipulated (i.e. you as the researcher must actively create the two conditions for the manipulated IV, rather than simply observe and compare between two conditions that already exist).
