Research a story/situation/scenario/event related to aviation that you believe displays a lack of ethics and/or integrity. The story/situation/scenario/event must be related to aviation but it can be any aspect of aviation – civilian, military, airlines, private aviation, flight ops, maintenance, finance, administration, leadership – anything is ok as long as it’s related to aviation. This can be something that you personally witnessed/participated in or it may be something that you are knowledgeable about from research.
Submit a written reflection that addresses the following writing prompts:
1) Briefly explain the event by giving details such as when/where/what happened. This should be a high-level overview in order to give me some context.
2) Explain what about the event you feel is unethical/lacking integrity and why you feel it’s unethical/lacking integrity.
3) Explain the opposing viewpoint – why might someone else NOT consider it unethical/lacking integrity.
4) Explain what should have been done differently to, in your opinion, make it more ethical.
The context of your answers can be from the organizational standpoint or a personal standpoint.
