Go to your local library and visit the children’s section. Find a children’s story that is based on a culture other than your own. Read the book, and discuss the following in writing typed and submitted to Brightspace by 0700 on the due date:
What area of life/holiday/etc is the book about?
What culture does the book represent?
Discuss how this culture’s approach to the subject differs from your own.
Bring the book, and your written document to post-conference on the assigned week. You will present the information to the clinical group and submit your assignment. You will be able to return the book following that post-conference.
