Outliers Poster Novel OUTLIERS TOPIC -Concerted cultivation Directions: In groups of 2-4, complete a poster project in which you present information from the book to share with the class. Each group will present on a different major topic discussed in Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. See the spreadsheet to sign up for a topic. After completing the poster, your group will present and teach the topic to the class for points. (10 points, assessments category) Title and Chapter Number (1 point) – In BIG, BOLD LETTERS, write your topic and chapter number! Evenly place the letters and choose typography that is elegant and clean. Use colors to accentuate the title and chapter number. Images (3 points) – You must have large, colorful pictures. You may print or cut out pictures and color them as well. The poster should have images that take up at least 50% of the poster space. Do not leave large swaths of the page blank or white. The images must be either directly or indirectly related to your topic. Be prepared to explain your images and how they relate to your topic to the class. Aside from pictures, decorate your poster with colors and decorations so that I can put these up on the walls. Chapter summary (3 points) – IN YOUR OWN WORDS, provide a summary of the chapter in about 5-7 sentences. You may print or type this portion out. If you print it out, be sure that the font is a respectable size to the eyes, at least size 20 font. Topic Bullet Points (3 points) – IN YOUR OWN WORDS, provide a detailed and logically comprehensible explanation of your chosen topic. Our presentations will be a test review, so imagine that you will be teaching this topic to the class through your bullet points. Be sure to explain the topic fully so that your classmates understand the importance of your chosen topic. There should be about 5-10 bullet points.
