Find information on a specific type of production operation, and explain how it works. Then, write a 3 page MAX case study of this human-created ecosystem. You might choose eucalyptus plantations in Brazil, palm oil plantations in Indonesia, salmon farming in Norway or Chile, shrimp farming in Thailand or Ecuador or India, corn, soy or wheat production in the USA, Canada, China, Brazil, or another country, concentrated animal feeding operations, or whatever else you find. In my experience, most information of this type is either written by the producers, in which case all the information is positive, or by opposition activists, in which case it is very negative. If you initially find only biased information, you will need to do additional research to reconcile conflicting claims and to develop a credible analysis of the industry.
Write in a professional tone for an academic and scientific audience. Include illustrations as appropriate. Always credit authors and reference sources for their ideas and information. Follow APA style format. The reference list and illustrations do not count towards the total page length.
