Begin our research log – Turn in at least 5 examples (yes, you will expand this list for the final essay, so if you can do more than five, go for it)
Be sure two of these sources are from peer-reviewed academic journals but if conducive to your study, see if you can find 3 separate types of sources. Peer reviewed sources generally end in ‘edu’ but the list of reliable sources includes other possible internet endings.
Consider the categories listed in the research log below and decide whether or not to use the format of columns. I, for example, have started using Jamboard (Google) for each of the research readings while I maintain the categories I am capturing. You might also use pen/paper and mind map, which also works well for me because I like something tangible. Instructions and examples of mind mapping are under the module for Writing tips.
Whatever format you use: Be sure two of these sources are from peer-reviewed academic journals. Also, be sure there are at least 3 separate types of sources (or mediums) listed here.
Example:
Source Type (Medium)
