Writing to Reflect: The Literacy Narrative – a Literacy Narrative provides an opportunity for you to create a personal narrative detailing how your interactions with and through reading, writing, or other forms of knowledge-building (sports knowledge, digital knowledge, mentors, past experiences etc.) helped shape who you have become and are becoming as a college writer and professional.
Some of the skills you will encounter in P1 are skills many students were exposed to in high school or in other educational settings. Our goal is to build on existing skills and develop them for the expectations of higher education because these skills are needed not only to succeed at HCC, but across your lifecycle of professional and personal development whether you advance into graduate school or enter the workplace.
Requirements:
This draft will be your revised version of the rough draft. Use my feedback, your revision notes, and your peers’ feedback to revise accordingly.
Essay will be 3-4 pages in length and include an interesting title, an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
The essay must be typed, double-spaced, and use Times New Roman size 12 font.
