Primary Dx: Encephalopathy
Diet: High Protein
Isolation: Contact for C-diff
Past Hx: Cirrhosis, Hepatitis C
Labs/Imaging: Ammonia, LFTs, Hepatic Ultrasound, Stool Sample
Meds: Lactulose give 30ml PO BID, Lasix 40mg give 1 tablet PO twice a day at 0700 and 1500 for Edema; Prazosin Hydrochloride 5mg give 1 capsule PO daily for HTN; Tylenol 325mg give 2 tablets PO q6hrs for temperature greater or equal to 100 degrees F, and mild pain scale (1-3)prn, Not to exceed 4GM in 24hours, Metronidazole 500mg IV every 24 hours for C-diff with Vancomycin 5ml PO every twice for c-diff.
