Overview:
In Module 1 of this course, you took the Gallup CliftonStrengths 34 Assessment and in Module 7, you prepared a gap analysis (see attached). These activities are essential inputs into this activity. The purpose of the current activity is to put those assessments to work in a systematic way to address a gap you identified in the Module 7 assignment.
These assessments exemplify the type of psychometric assessments that give deep insight into how you show up in organizational settings. Your task is to design a leadership experience intended to address developmental areas (e.g., strengths, lesser talents, knowledge gaps, team leadership styles). Incorporate learning from your CliftonStrengths Assessment.
Organizations use developmental activities to help their shareholders develop knowledge, skills, behaviors, and competencies. For example, organizations use the Franklin-Covey Seven Habits of Highly Effective People training (Franklincovey) to develop desired cultural competencies. Likewise, some companies use VitalSmarts Crucial Conversations training (Vitalsmarts) to improve their employees’ conflict resolution skills.

Instructions:
The parameters for your leadership experience are open. However, you should describe:
1. what gap the developmental experience will address (i.e., what evidence supports the need to do this),
2. what tools support the conceptual underpinning for the experience (i.e., what is the evidence that this sort of experience is effective to address the gap),
3. who will benefit from the leadership experience (e.g., you, the accounting group, an air wing, your organization),
4. how long this experience will take (e.g., 15-minute icebreaker, 4-hour workshop, seminar series over 8 weeks),
5. the details of the activity,
6. who will facilitate the activity,
7. are there any special requirements for room setup, audio-visual equipment, or technology (e.g., a board room, Zoom, wireless lavalier microphone), and
8. which diagnostic is part of the activity (CliftonStrengths 34 or Management Assessment).
Your assignment can be completed in any tool of your choosing, provided you can accomplish the parameters above (i.e., you can use MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, mind mapping software).
