Make analytical connections between works, literary and historical periods, and critical theories evolving from the African American literary tradition.
Read and respond to various texts authored by Americans of African ancestry for purposes of interpretation, analysis, and synthesis.
Analyze a variety of readings and texts through both oral and written communication.
