Select one process you are familiar with, from your current job responsibilities or past
experiences. Make sure it is a process complex enough to have at least ten different
steps or independent tasks. The course reading materials of Module 2-Part I lists
several chapters from the two texts, exhibits with examples of process maps, and where
to find additional information from the ASQ TV online resources.
Please write a one-page summary of the process, as if you were asked to describe the
process in detailed for a section of the TQM Manual. Then, design a process map to be
included as an appendix, after the list of references and labeled Appendix. You may use
the drawing features of spreadsheets or powerpoint to design the process map, or
utilize a software package as long as the final result can be imported or added to the
main body of the report (Word Document). Please include the usual cover page.
Sources are optional in this case; however, references, if used, need to be properly
cited and listed.
