Reading Assignment
Similar to prior weeks, Strategic Management will provide the overview while other resources will provide more specialized content. Budgeting for Success provides the content of conventional business budgets. Finally, Profit from Six Sigma, provides an excellent introduction to the Six Sigma process. Please read the chapter relating to the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) closely.

Discussion Assignment
Describe, in your own words, the following approaches to designing a budget: Mandated approach to budget design, Participative approach, and the Blended approach. What advantages or disadvantages do you believe each approach carries? Which approach do you think is the best?
