Instructions: Using the basic assumptions of social exchange theory as presented in the Smith and Hamon chapter (p. 271), Students will write a 3-5 page paper to summarize or paraphrase each assumption individually. Next, provide a scenario which describes how the assumption is manifested in a relationship’s formation, maintenance, and dissolution.
