Routines are an important part of infant/toddler curriculum. Most of the day for infants and toddlers involves participating in routines. Read the scenario below and plan to provide individualize care during routines listed below.
Mary is 12 months old. She comes from a family that speaks another language other than English in her home. This is her first time in child care. Mary’s mom shared that Mary likes to be put to sleep while she sings to her in their home language. Mary is eating solid foods. At home, her parents spoon feed her. Mary starts to cry when ititss time for a diaper change. She moves and does not lie still.
