In this assignment, you are going to write a descriptive paragraph. As you prepare your paragraph, think about the Unit Question, “Why does something become popular?”Choose one of the topics below for your paragraph.
1. Write a paragraph about a trend that interests you and why it is popular. For example, consider a trend in cars, food, or technology.
2. Write a paragraph about a popular TV program. Who usually watches the program? Why is it popular?

Supporting sentences describe the trend (or TV program) and explain why it is popular.you can choose any trend or tv show as long as you do not cross any religious, political or cultural lines.
Paragraph uses vocabulary from the unit and words in sentences are spelled correctly.Please refer to the list provided on page (196) and include at least 5 words from the list in your paragraph.
Sentences with the present continuous are used correctly.Please refer to the grammar box on page (21) and include at least 3 sentences in the present continuous tense in your paragraph.
Each sentence has correct capitalization and punctuation.Please review your writing before you submit. Make sure that it is free from any capitalization or punctuation mistakes.
