Important Format Guidelines:
 All written assignments must be in MS-Word format.
 Use a serif font, like Times Roman (not a sans-serif one like Arial), and 12-point font size.
 Always have 1” margins all the way around.
 Paragraphs should be single-spaced, left-aligned (not justified), and first-line indented ½”; no
additional spacing is needed between paragraphs
 Please organize paper into sections, using the major headings in the instructions.

2.Objective: Identify 4-5 different situations within this tragic event that illustrate a particular concept/theory of decision-making, a common bias or heuristic, and/or a key set of structural or personal factors affecting the decision. I.e., like the examples in the content slides of Sheldon (stereotypes), Pheobe (cognitive dissonance), or Mona Lisa Vito (representative heuristic).
3.Specifics: For each example, discuss in a paragraph the following:
a.Identify the situation, (very) briefly describing what it is that happened which you want to discuss as an example. Note: this just needs to be a very brief statement – you do NOT need to recap the entire situation.
b.Then describe how it illustrates a particular concept, theory, or issue from the content on decision-making. Be sure to be very clear, specific, and precise. E.g., The prosecutor just assumed that a pretty, young, out-of-work hairdresser (Lisa Vito) could have no knowledge of auto mechanics.
c.Provide an analysis or critique of the situation, commenting on the potential effectiveness/ineffectiveness of the policy/program/action or evaluating the sources/causes of the problems or challenges facing the manager and/or organization. E.g., if he had not given her the opportunity to demonstrate her knowledge and expertise, the prosecutor might have completely dismissed her as a witness and thereby missed out on critical evidence in the case.
d.Where possible, make suggestions as to what should be done differently. E.g., when introducing her as a witness, Vinny Gambini could have first provided evidence of her background, thereby establishing her credibility and avoiding a potential misreading of her character.
