Hello Class.
For this week and the next, we will study some of the early leaders in career and technical education and how their philosophies influenced CTE in its early days. We will also consider the influence of land-grant universities and other factors on the development of CTE. Chapters 2, 3, and 4 provide information that is foundational to our understanding of the development of CTE; however, we’ll move through it rather quickly in order to move on to more current factors and events.
This week and next week, we will address the following objectives:
Develop an awareness of the early leaders who influenced the development of Career and Technical Education
Consider the impact of land-grant institutions on the development of Career and Technical Education
Explore factors that influenced and impacted CTE development
