End of Course Project: (1 @ 100 points). The end of course project is comprised of a review of an Electronic Health Record (EPIC) either in the clinical setting or at your place of employment. Review the EHR certification criteria posted in your textbook and select 2 standards that you feel the organization’s EHR is meeting well and 2 standards you feel should be improved. Conduct a web search on the selected Health Information system that supports this particular EHR. You will complete the project by completing a power point presentation including the following:
1. A brief summary of the primary Health Information System (HIS) that supports your selected Electronic Health Record (EHR).
2. 2 certification criteria that the selected EHR performs well
3. 2 certification criteria that the selected EHR could improve upon
4. A brief summary of the technology in relation to nurse workflow- does it enhance the nurse’s workflow or impede it? Does it take more time away from patient care?
The PowerPoint should be no more than 5 slides (doesn’t include your intro slide and references). Review the marking rubric to understand the information that should be included.
Your presentation should be creative, easy to understand. You may include a recording if you wish. If you do not have exposure to an EHR, please contact the instructor ahead of time for ideas on how to complete this assignment. Completion of this assignment is required for a passing grade. Use the standard PowerPoint template that is posted in the resources section of this module.
