Create a PERT Chart: Provide tasks, general timelines, and a responsible person for each team assignment (PSA, Advocacy Plan, and Grant). This section should discuss the process for planning and completing each assignment.
PSA Video – The team will be required to address and establish a media presence to enhance funding opportunities within their assigned organization. Furthermore, in times of crisis, the public relations officer will be required to evaluate and submit a response that helps facilitate a relationship between the organization and the community. This portion will require a short media video.
Advocacy Plan- Each student will develop an advocacy campaign to help bring attention to a social justice issue facing their mock agency. Examples include legislation that could impact the agency’s service delivery, dispelling biased social locations of the clients or community served, addressing lack of legislative support, or a call of action for voter registration on behalf of the agency. Students will create a one-page infographic, one Tiktok style video, and the creation of a public forum or civil dissent activity.
Grant- Students will present a summary of their grant to a panel of community members. The summary should be completed in PowerPoint and addresses the statement of the problem, goals and objectives, method, evaluation, and budget.
